TEHRAN – Talking on phone, the OIC secretary general and the German foreign minister separately congratulated Ali Akbar Salehi on his appointment as interim foreign minister.

Congratulating Salehi, Organization of the Islamic Conference Secretary General Ekmaledin Ehsan Oglu expressed OIC’s readiness to cooperate with Iran and hoped Iran and OIC’s cooperation would continue like the past.
German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle also congratulated Salehi and expressed hope over boosting ties between Tehran and Berlin
