TEHRAN – The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) rejects media reports that one of its ships has been seized in Hong Kong.

IRISL director Mohammad Hossein Dajmar said an Iranian ship has been seized in another country and Tehran is currently negotiating with officials of that country.
He also said the three seized ships in Singapore have not been released yet, but they are not at auction either.
Earlier this month, three Iranian ships were sized in Singapore’s waters for some political reasons and they were put up for auction following the issuance of a court ruling.
A court in Singapore ordered that the ships be seized, claiming Iran had not paid off a loan it received from a bank in France, Dajmar explained.
He said the IRISL had taken out a loan from a French bank to purchase a ship and it has settled all the debts
