Judiciary still examining Sakineh Ashtiani case

TEHRAN – The Judiciary spokesperson has said judicial officials are still examining the case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, who is convicted of adultery and murder.

Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei told IRNA news agency that no progress has been made on the case.
Ashtiani has received a death sentence for committing murder and this sentence takes precedence over her conviction for committing adultery which carries stoning to death. The Ashtiani case has been hyped by the Western media outlets
