Iraq congratulates Iran on Islamic Revolution anniversary

TEHRAN - Iraqi President Jalal Talebani has congratulated his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the 32nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The Ten-Day Dawn (February 1-11) is a national celebration of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Iraqi president offered his congratulations in a statement, the Sharjah-based Dar Al Khaleej daily reported on Sunday.
Talebani said that increased cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad will help promote peace and stability in the world.
“I would like to take this opportunity to announce my sincere request for the establishment of best ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Talebani said.
This request is line with Iraq’s sincere efforts intended to strengthen brotherly ties with friendly countries and would help promote global peace and security, he added
