Iran air defense system to start using robots next year

TEHRAN – The deputy commander of the Iranian Army said the Army will start using robots as of next year.

Talking to IRNA on Saturday, Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari said the Army is ready to use different kinds of robots in its air defense by the next Iranian year (to start March 21, 2016).

He said the army research centers are focusing on establishing connections with universities and academic centers to use the skills and knowledge of their experts and scientists.

The commander also noted that the ground forces are to launch an electronic war maneuver in late May.

He went on to note that security in Iranian border lines are in the best conditions and nothing is threatening them.
