TEHRAN- A Polish trade delegation headed by the country’s Deputy Minister of Development Radoslaw Domagalski will visit Iran from March 5 to 9, the ISNA news agency reported on Friday.

The delegation will be comprised of over 70 representatives from Polish companies active in different fields of economy such as agriculture, industry, mining, energy, transportation, banking, car manufacturing, medicine and medical equipments, as well as food.

Launching Tehran-Warsaw direct flight, holding Iran-Poland joint economic committee meeting in Warsaw in the near future and promoting banking cooperation between the two countries aiming to finance joint projects are some of the plans Iran and Poland are working on to expand bilateral trade and economic ties.

In September 2015, Polish Economy Minister Janusz Piechocinski said his country was prepared to triple its trade with Iran next year.

Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Katarzyna Kacperczyk has said that her country can be a reliable trade partner for Iran, as Poland is the largest economy in Eastern Europe and the sixth largest in the European Union.
