Austria keen to invest in Iran’s FTZ

TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) – Austrian Ambassador to Tehran Michael Postl voiced on Friday the eagerness of his country’s investors to participate in the projects of Iran's free trade zones (FTZs) particularly southern Qeshm Island.

Attending the inaugural ceremony of Iran-Austria historical photo exhibition in Qeshm, he referred to the sides’ wide economic, trade, and cultural ties.
He added that an Austrian economic delegation will pay a visit to the island to get familiar with its investment potentials and facilities.
The managing director of the Qeshm Free Trade Zone, (QFTZ), for his part, said that Austria is among those countries that insist on investment in Iran in spite of current political pressures.
Mohammad Asghari said that Austrian investors have shown their interest in getting involved in Iran’s energy projects.
