TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said here on Wednesday that the judiciaries of Islamic countries should make every effort to “revitalize and strengthen the lofty mansion of Islamic jurisprudence.”

Addressing the first convention of Islamic states’ judiciary chiefs, Ayatollah Khamenei said “self-confidence” and “trust in God” are the solutions to the Islamic world’s current problems.
He added, “Islamic law is among the most advanced” legal systems and “has great potential to meet humans’ needs, especially their need for justice.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the members of the Islamic ummah (community) should seize all opportunities to deepen their relations with each other in order to materialize the Islamic world’s objectives and “meetings such as the Tehran conference will familiarize Muslim scholars with one another.”
The Leader stated that the world is thirsty for “justice and security” which are rare in the modern world due to the influence of Western culture.
“In the alleged civilized Western counties, Muslims are treated with discrimination and contempt, while in Muslim countries religious minorities are living a peaceful and free life,” he said.
The Leader added, “Western civilization and culture are not able to establish justice and security for humans.”
He went on to say that the Zionist regime’s double standards policy toward the Palestinians is a clear example of discrimination in the world.
