TEHRAN, Dec. 11 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel is scheduled to visit Egypt late January to attend the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IIPU) summit in Cairo, Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee spokesman Kazem Jalali said here on Tuesday.

The visit follows an invitation from Egyptian parliament speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour, Jalali told reporters on the sidelines of a Majlis session.
In the summit a new director general will be elected for the union and Turkey will pass IIPU’s rotating presidency to Egypt, he stated.
