TEHRAN - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini on Monday condemned the recent crimes against innocent Iraqi people as acts of terror. He said that the “mismanagement of foreign forces” in Iraq is to be blamed for such terrorist actions.

A suicide bomber on Sunday attacked a crowd of Shiite pilgrims heading toward the city of Karbala to visit the Shrine of Imam Hussein, killing at least 40 people and wounding at least 100, Iraqi officials said.
“It is time for the United States to fulfill its legal obligations,” the spokesman noted, adding that the U.S. should abandon its unrealistic, ambitious goals and put the Iraqi government in charge of the affairs that concern the country.
Hosseini also expressed hope that vigilance of various Iraqi groups and tribes would strengthen the rule of Iraqi people’s votes in Iraq
