TEHRAN – First Vice President Parviz Davudi, presiding over a high ranking political and economic delegation, is to arrive in Syria today evening heading the Iranian side in the joint high commission with Syria. Prime Minister Muhammad Naji Al-Utri, will be the Syrian chief to the commission.

Mohammad Saeidikia, the Iranian Minister of Housing and Urban Development and his entourage departed for Syria on Monday to hold a joint session with his Syrian counterparts.
Iran-Syria trade volume in 2007 stood at about $200 million of which $180 million is related to Iran’s exports.
Iranian companies have over $one billion worth of conducted or in-hand technical and engineering services’ projects in Syria.
“If the signed deals between the sides become finalized, Iran will have $3.5 billion worth of investments in Syria,” said the deputy housing and urban development minister.
