TEHRAN -- Iran is prepared to share its valuable experiences in “peaceful nuclear technology with other nations within the framework of the International Atomic Energy Agency,” President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said here on Monday at a meeting with Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alberto Romulo.

He said nuclear technology has various usages including in agriculture, medicine, and industry.
Unlike the monopolist powers that only seek their own financial interests a willingness by Tehran to share its technological achievements, including nuclear technology, with other countries is just to let other nations to benefit from the gifts of technology, Ahmadinejad stated.
The president denounced as a “great deception” attempts by nuclear-armed countries to portray nuclear technology as identical to nuclear bomb.
The president went on to say that with realizing this fact the Islamic Republic has stood against the bullying and monopolist powers and is trying to “return the right to peaceful nuclear technology to nations.”
He also said that Iran and the Philippines can boost their relations in various economic, political, and cultural spheres, and support one another in international conferences.
For his part, Romulo emphasized that all signatories to the Non-Proliferation Treaty have right to a peaceful use of nuclear technology which is both clean and economical.
Romulo also stated that “The Philippines is interested in sharing the Islamic Republic’s valuable achievements in various areas.”
Economy, investment, tourism, and energy are among the various fields in which the two countries can expand their cooperation, the Philippine top diplomat noted.
He added Iran plays an influential role in efforts to establish peace and stability in the world especially in the Middle East region.
“The Philippines praises and supports all initiatives by the Islamic Republic in its efforts to establish peace and security in different parts of the world.”
