TEHRAN – Iran has acceded to Turkmenistan’s stipulation for a rise in the gas price to renew gas import to Iran, the managing director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) stated Friday.

Seyed Reza Kassaizadeh added that Turkmenistan has resumed gas import to Iran but he declined to comment on the new price.
Asked whether Turkmenistan has consented to indemnify for the losses imposed on Iran due to its sudden and unwarranted break in gas supply, he replied the case is under investigation.
