Pakistan warns against attack on Iran

The Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi has said that a military attack on Iran would not be beneficial for the region.

The region cannot tolerate a new war, but in case of any military action occurring in the region, Pakistan will pursue a neutral policy, IRNA quoted Qureshi as addressing the Pakistani Senate Friday.

On the Peace pipeline gas project between Iran, India and Pakistan, he said that Islamabad calls for steps to finalize the agreement.

He also voiced his country’s support for Iran’s right to conduct peaceful nuclear activities and said that Tehran should enhance its cooperation with international organizations with the aim of settling outstanding issues.
