Iran hosting cultural programs on 60 years of Palestinian resistance

TEHRAN -- Deputy Culture Minister for Press and Information Affairs Alireza Malekian announced the programs planned for the 60th anniversary of Palestinian resistance yesterday.

Malekian is also the secretary of the committee for supporting the Islamic revolution of Palestine committee established at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance for organizing programs in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the occupation of Palestine.
A number of NGOs supported the Palestinian people at the 21st Tehran International Book Fair by holding a photo exhibition on the theme of 60 years of Palestinian resistance and holding meetings with Palestinian political figures, he noted.
A three-day painting exhibition is underway at the Vahdat Hall and will continue until May 16, he said, adding that the 11th Festival of National Resistance Theater on May 23 and 24 will also focus on the theme of Palestine.
Art and Cultural Organization of the Tehran Municipality (ACOTM) will hold Palestine photo exhibit at the Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum from May 14 to 22.
ACOTM also hold painting competition between school children on the theme of “Palestinian Children Have No Home” and a story writing competition will be held by Tehran cultural centers.
Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO) will also produce video clips on the theme of Palestinian resistance which will be aired from Iran’s state-run TV channels. IIDO will also hold a meeting in which 30 scholars will discuss the history of Palestine and selected scholars will be honored.
Several ministries and organization are scheduled to participating in the programs marking the 60th anniversary of the occupation of Palestine.
