TEHRAN -- An ancient Iranian artifact, which had been smuggled to Romania, was handed over to the Iranian Embassy in Bucharest on June 18.

The relic is a rhyton featuring an ibex, which was discovered in southern Romanian port city Giurgiu, among the cargoes being transported by a trailer from Iran to Germany.
A team of experts approved Iranian ownership of the rhyton after they examined the relic.
Romanian experts have valued the artifact at about two million euros.
