Farhad Farkhreddini stamp unveiled in Shiraz

TEHRAN -- Postage stamp, issued in honor of the conductor of Iran’s National Orchestra, Farhad Fakhreddini, was unveiled at a ceremony in Shiraz on Wednesday.

The event was held on the sidelines of Iran’s National Orchestra’s performance in Shiraz.
Iran’s National Orchestra held concerts on July 15 and 16 at Afif-Abad Garden, Shiraz.
Attending the ceremony was the head of Iranian Music Association Babak Rezaii, who called Shiraz a Cultural city.
He went on to say that the stamp has been released to honor the lifetime achievements of Fakhreddini in Iranian music.
More than 5000 citizens of Shiraz were in the audience at the concert, held in Afif Abad garden on Tuesday, and gave a standing ovation after the orchestra’s performance of the piece “Hello Shiraz.”
