Uganda, Iran’s gateway into Africa: envoy

GORGAN – The Ugandan Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad Ahmad Kissule here on Monday announced that Uganda can be an appropriate gateway for Iranian investors to enter African markets.

During his visit to northern Golestan Province, he said that Uganda has the capacity to expand its exports of tea, coffee, agro products, and bananas to Iran.
Paying visits to Golestan Province’s industrial and manufacturing units, Ahmad Kissule announced that his country would make use of the potentials of Golestan Province.
Yahya Mahmudzadeh, the province’s governor general, for his part, said that the Ugandan ambassador has called on Iranian investors for partnership in agricultural processing and conversion sectors.
