Iran, Turkey have made strides to develop ties: Turkish PM

ANKARA (IRNA) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Iran and Turkey have taken great strides to develop cooperation.

Talking to the news section of TV channels, Erdogan expressed pleasure with foreign policy performance of his government during the month of August marking enhanced diplomatic ties with Iran.
Referring to the latest visit of Iran's President Mahmud Ahmadinejad to Turkey, Erdogan said that the two countries are determined to touch $ 20 billion annual trade by 2011.
He added that the two countries held talks on bilateral and regional cooperation during president Ahmadinejad's visit to Turkey.
He reiterated that expansion of Tehran-Ankara trade and economic cooperation was among the major issues on the agenda of the talks.
