U.S. financial crisis has no impact on Iran’s economy: MP

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- A member of Majlis Economic Commission Hassan Khastehband said on Saturday that U.S. financial crisis has no impact on Iran’s economy.

“The countries whose monetary units are dependent on the U.S. dollar will suffer from the economic crisis in the United States,” he said.

Khastehband in reference to dropping U.S. dollar from CBI’s basket of foreign exchanges said that Iran has adopted financial policies aimed at not being affected by the U.S. financial crisis thanks to initiatives made by the Central Bank of Iran,.

Referring to the decrease in the interest rate in some states, he said that this event benefits Iran to buy goods from those states which would be economical.

He added that Iran has not deposited its Forex revenues in other countries hence the foreign exchange reserves remain immune from the U.S. financial crisis and plunge of the U.S. dollar.
