Tehran center to display statues of ancient Iranian luminaries

TEHRAN -- An exhibition of statues entitled “Love for the Homeland” will be held at the Enqelab Cultural Center in Azadi Tower starting Tuesday.

More than 200 statues and busts of ancient Iranian luminaries and characters from Persian myths will be on display during the exhibition.
Made from cement, stone and fiberglass, the artworks have been created by the members of the Iranian Luminaries and Myths Statues Group.
The group initiated its activities in 1991 with only two members. It has accomplished several achievements during these years in national and international festivals. It now has about 230 members.
Sponsored by Rudaki Foundation, the exhibition will be held until March 21 at the venue.
