TEHRAN – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Thursday warned Arab countries near the occupied territories about the “dangerous consequences” of not helping the Gaza people caught up in Israel’s senseless gunfire.

The Leader warned that if Israel succeeds to break up the resistances of Palestinian people it would turn against other countries in the Middle East region.
“If the enemies of Islam succeed at this stage they will surely don’t give up …in the Middle East, and the Islamic countries near the region that refuse to help Palestine should realize the dangerous repercussions of their today’s mistake,” the Leader remarked in a meeting with a group of people from Qom.
The Leader also thanked the Iranian youths who have attended airports and other places whishing to go to the Gaza Strip to help Palestinians. “However, it should be noticed that our hands are tight” in this case, the Leader insisted.
Egypt as the only Arab countries which borders the Rafah Crossing in southern Gaza Strip has even refused to allow Iran to establish a field hospital near the border to treat Palestinian wounded in Israel’s insane war against Gaza residents.
Ayatollah Khamenei insisted that Israel must be forced to stop its barbaric acts against the residents of Gaza through “political and public pressures.”
“By continuing political and public pressure the enemy must be forced to retreat.”
The Leader went on to say that “innocent babies and oppressed women of Gaza are falling to the ground like autumn leaves but there is no voice from the United Nations, other organizations claiming to defend human rights and Western governments including the Europeans governments.”
Rafsanjani says Gaza tragedy is ‘unprecedented in history’
Expediency Council chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Thursday that the Gaza tragedy is “unprecedented in the history”.
“The events that are happening in Gaza are a catastrophe which is unprecedented in the history,” Rafsanjani told reporters on Thursday.
Gaza has been described as the greatest concentration camp in the world. Israel has been preventing food, fuel, medicine and other commodities into the densely populated enclave for some months.
He said he personally does not know of any such a tragic event in the course of history. He added that Israelis are doing the “worst” criminal acts in the Gaza Strip.
Israel’s senseless war in Gaza has irked the world. Every day thousands of people across the world pour into the street to show their hatred of the Israeli brutal acts in Gaza.
Rafsanjani said Israel has never seen such a great public support for Palestinians in its 60 years of aggressions in the occupied territories. “This issue (public support) is very new for Israel, and due to lack of experience they are nearing defeat day by day.”
Israel on Friday rebuffed a UN Security Council’s call for an immediate truce in the Gaza Strip and continued pounding Gaza intensively.
Since Israel does not comply with the UN resolutions the Palestinians have no choice but to resist, Rafsanjani insisted. “Resistance is the only choice and nothing can bear results except resistance.”
Rafsanjani said Israel has even lost its influence in Europe. “For a time Israel tried to find a foothold in Europe but today nobody in Europe defends it because it is not defendable.”
The top Iranian official praised the strong resistance shown by Palestinians since the Israeli army launched a ground offensive in Gaza.
“We should be optimistic about the repercussions of the action. Today, Gaza may suffer greatly but I think that this battle will benefit Palestine at the end.”
