Larijani to attend OIC meeting on Gaza in Istanbul

TEHRAN -- Iranian Majlis speaker Ali Larijani will travel to Turkey today to attend an OIC emergency meeting on the Gaza crisis.

Parliament speakers from the Organization of Islamic Conference will meet in Istanbul today to discuss the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip and find ways to end the attacks against Gazans.
Larijani will be accompanied by a parliamentary delegation during the trip.
He will deliver a speech to the conference and hold talks with Turkish high-ranking officials as well as some OIC parliamentary speakers.
The UN Human Rights Council on Monday adopted a resolution condemning Israel's offensive in the Gaza Strip and accusing it of ""grave"" human rights violations against Palestinians.
According to AFP news agency, Israeli tanks punched their way towards the outskirts of Gaza City on Monday as the death toll from the war against Palestinians passed 900.
