Iran-Russia gas co-op benefits all, Gazprom says

MOSCOW – Gazprom’s spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said in Moscow on Wednesday that gas cooperation between Iran and Russia would be beneficial to both sides and serve the interests of all gas customers as well.

“Since Russia and Iran own the world’s first and second largest natural gas reserves respectively, it simply makes sense for them to broaden their relations in this field,” he added, according to IRINN.
Referring to the fruitful summit of the 12 leading gas exporters in Moscow, he said the event heralded the expansion of relations in different fields such as exploration and production.
The official hailed the constructive atmosphere of Iran-Russia cooperation, saying diversity of gas transfer routes can guarantee the supply of the product
