TEHRAN – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani announced on Sunday that the Iranian Parliament will rebuild the Palestinian Parliament destroyed in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip.

“In line with comprehensive cooperation with the government of Ismail Haniya in reconstructing many mosques, schools, hospital and houses in Gaza, the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian parliament) will undertake rebuilding the Palestinian Parliament which was destroyed in the bombardments by the Zionist regime,” Larijani told an open session of the Majlis.
The lawmakers endorsed the decision, chanting “God is great” and “Death to Israel”.
Although many Palestinians were martyred in the war and the Zionists wounded over 5000 children and women, and seriously damaged about 20,000 houses, in the end the false power of the Zionist regime was undermined before the eyes of the world, Larijani said.
He stated that during the Israeli raids on Gaza, many international figures tried to stop Israel’s atrocities. Today it is necessary to investigate the inhuman crimes of Israel and bring the Zionist criminals to justice, he stressed.
The Majlis speaker said Tehran plans to hold a conference on Gaza in the near future to show the amount of international support for the Palestinian resistance
