Daei says no to Rah Ahan

TEHRAN -- Former Iran football coach Ali Daei turned down Rah Ahan’s offer to take charge of the team on Tuesday.

Rah Ahan dismissed their coach Mahmoud Yavari on Monday following poor results in the Iran Professional League (IPL).

Daei, who was sacked as Iran’s coach after his team’s 2-1 defeat against Saudi Arabia in the World Cup qualifiers, stated that he has no intention of working at the moment.

Rah Ahan’s officials have chosen the team’s captain Mehdi Tartar as Yavari’s replacement.

Rah Ahan is in the 13th place of the IPL.
