Albania calls for Iran’s co-op in its economic infrastructure

ATHENS – The Deputy Minister of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunication of Albania Stavri Ristani in Tirana on Thursday called for the promotion of Iran-Albania cooperation in the fields of transportation, communication, and economic infrastructure.

In a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Tirana Ali Eqbali Zarch, Ristani said that the sides have great economic potential that has to be used to boost relations, IRNA reported.
He noted that Albania has witnessed a revolution and great progress in its infrastructure such as the construction of highways and ports, water resources management, telecommunication affairs and power plants, and called for boosting cooperation with Iran in these fields.
He also said that the two countries have to prepare the grounds for the sides’ private sectors to have cooperation for the promotion of bilateral economic ties.
Referring to Iran’s great capabilities in the fields of transportation, road building, power plant construction, dam building, housing, and telecommunication, Ali Eqbali Zarch said that “Iran could cooperate with Albania in these fields.
