TEHRAN - All issues must be pursued through legal channels, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Sunday.

In a meeting with Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Ayatollah Khamenei said that all issues must be resolved in a legal manner, like in previous elections in which certain individuals and candidates’ complaints were referred to the Guardian Council.
He said he had insisted that the Guardian Council carefully examine Mousavi’s letter protesting the election results.
The Leader also stated that there are provocative behind-the-scenes moves by the enemy meant to spark riots in the streets, adding, “It is necessary that activities are conducted with dignity.”
“Your nature is different than such persons,” Aytollah Khamenei told Mousavi.
Meanwhile, Guardian Council spokesman Abbas Ali Kadkhodaii stated that the GC has begun investigating the validity of the election results.
“The Guardian Council invites the protesting candidates of the tenth presidential election to (attend) a meeting in the council and state their views,” he told ISNA on Monday.
