Major cabinet reshuffle in the works
Former presidential advisor Mojtaba Hashemi Samareh stated that there will be widespread changes in the makeup of the new cabinet.
“According to the president, many cabinet members will leave the administration and some will be given new posts,” he told MNA on Saturday.

Implementing the economic reform plan will be the priority of the tenth administration, he insisted.

New cabinet should make amends for managerial shortcomings of previous cabinet
MP Parviz Sarvari said on Saturday that the president should consult with experts before appointing a new cabinet team, who should make amends for the mismanagement the nation has suffered through during the previous administration.
During the ninth administration, the revolving-door policy caused instability in the management of the nation and great damage was imposed on the nation’s management system, he told MNA on Saturday.

New cabinet team could have 12 new faces
According to unconfirmed reports, the new cabinet team could have as many as 12 new faces.
Physical Education Organization Director Mohammad Aliabadi and First Vice President Parviz Davoudi will certainly not be in the next cabinet, the Tabnak website reported.
Tabnak also said MP Ruhollah Hosseinian will be nominated to become the new intelligence minister.
The two potential candidates for the post of interior minister, currently held by Sadeq Mahsouli, are Deputy Interior Minister Kamran Daneshjoo and Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, but sources close to the president say that Ahmadinejad favors Daneshjoo, who was the director of the Interior Ministry’s Election Headquarters during the recent presidential election, the website reported.
According to Tabnak, Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organization Director Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaii will be promoted and is now regarded as one of the main candidates for the post of first vice president.
Ali Kordan, who was dismissed from the post of interior minister after the parliament impeached him for presenting a fake academic degree is regarded as a candidate for director of the Special Inspection Department of the Presidential Office, a post which is currently held by the president’s brother, Davoud Ahmadinejad.
Due to the controversy over Kordan, it seems that the president will not nominate him for another ministerial post.
