TEHRAN – Tehran on Wednesday said that the remarks by French President Nicholas Sarkozy about Iran’s nuclear program are in direct contrast to the IAEA reports.

“We are sorry that French president’ remarks are in complete contradiction to the IAEA experts’ testimony and their documents,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said in a statement.
The remarks are “biased and politically motivated”, Qashqavi noted.
Sarkozy claimed on Tuesday that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program. ""It is a certainty to all of our secret services. Iran is working today on a nuclear program,"" the French leader told lawmakers from his UMP party, according to Press TV.
The spokesman added that such an “extremist approach” by the French president “reminds one of his former friends like Mr. Bush.”
He added such remarks were “influenced” by the Zionist regime and has nothing to do with the “wise French people”.
It is obvious that the French officials have not properly “comprehended” the peaceful nature of Iranian nuclear program, he noted.
These statements will not influence Tehran’s cooperation with the IAEA and the Iranian nation’s determination to continue to insist on their legal nuclear rights, he explained
