Iran’s Abbasi to be honor laureate of U.S. poster exhibit

TEHRAN -- Iranian artist Majid Abbasi will be the honor laureate of the 16th Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition which will be held from October 2 to December 22 in Fort Collins, Colorado in the U.S.

The exhibition is a biennial that brings world-renowned poster artists and designers to the Fort Collins area hosted by the Colorado State University Department of Art.
“He has been featured numerous times in past shows, and we are delighted to host him for his first visit to the United States as he brings unique perspectives on Iranian graphic art and society to our community,” said John Gravdahl, CSU art professor and co-coordinator of the show.
Majid Abbasi’s exhibition entitled “Persian Variations: An Exhibition of Majid Abbasi's Book Covers and Poster Designs” will be held on October 2.
Another exhibit entitled “Persianissimo” which is an Iranian Contemporary poster exhibition will be held from September 27 to December 22 at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art, 201 S. College Ave.
Works by artists from more than 28 countries reflecting international perspectives on political, social and cultural issues will go on display during the event.
