IKCO licensed for Renault L90 Sport

TEHRAN -- Iranian giant car manufacturer Iran Khodro Co. (IKCO) has acquired the license for commercial production of the Renault L90 (Tondar) Sport model from France’s Renault company.

The Mehr News Agency quoted IKCO deputy saying that the company got the license by achieving competitive standard requirements set by Renault.

Mohammad-Reza Motamed added that the French firm will make inspections on IKCO sites every six months to make sure the standards of the company have been applied.

Iran Khodro was founded 1962 and has become the largest vehicle manufacturer in the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.

In Iran it has an average share of 65 percent of domestic auto market
