Korbekandi named Saba coach

TEHRAN - Rasoul Korbekandi was named as Saba Battery football coach on Monday.

Korbekandi replaced Mohammad-Hossein Ziaei in the Qom-based team. Saba Battery is 11th in the Iran Professional League standings with 20 points after 16 weeks.

Korbekandi has also coached Sepahan, Zob Ahan, Shahrdari of Bandar Abbas and Bargh of Shiraz in the past.

“Thanks to Ziaei good players have been recruited. Saba Battery will use talented players who help the coach succeed. We will hold a one-week training camp in Mashhad. I will do my best in Saba to get it back to its golden days,” Korbekandi said
