Iran football team defeats Iceland

TEHRAN -- Iran football team defeated Iceland in a warm-up match held at the Azadi Stadium on Tuesday.

Afshin Ghotbi’s side defeated Iceland 1-0 in front of about 1,000 spectators.

Iran football team will also play Macedonia in preparation for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Iran was drawn in Group Five of the 2010 Asian Cup Qualifiers along with Singapore, Thailand and Jordan. Iran leads the group with four points
