Tehran Intl. Short Film Festival announces winners

TEHRAN -- The 26th Tehran International Short Film Festival announced winners during a ceremony on Monday at the Andisheh Hall of Tehran’s Art Bureau.

Hooman Seyyedi’s “All my paraphernalia is dislocated” won the Best Feature Film Award of the National Section and the Jury Special Award went to Mahin Javaherian’s “It’s Raining Cats and Dogs” from Tehran.

Hanna Bergholm’s “Shadows” from Finland and Martin Turk’s “Every Day Is Not the Same” from Slovenia won the In Search of Truth Awards of the International Section.

At the International Section the “Ayan” by Sadyk Sher-Niyaz from Kyrgyzstan was awarded as the Best Film of Eco Member Section.

The Best Feature Film Award of the International Section went to “The Last Regal King Size” by Simon Hipkins from Scotland and Jens Lien’s “Every Day Is a Fish Day” from Norway was also honored at the section.

Georges Salameh’s “Maesmak” from Italy won the Best Documentary Award at the International Section.

The festival was held from November 11 to 16, with Nasser Bakideh the secretary of the gala.

Almost 2,500 participants from 103 countries screened their productions during the festival.
