TEHRAN - Iranian MPs voted on Sunday to allocate $20 million from the Foreign Exchange Reserve Fund to inform the world about the human rights violations committed by the United States and Britain across the globe.

In an open session of the Majlis, 169 lawmakers voted to approve the bill.
The parliamentary act is meant to counter the West’s efforts to dominate the field of information technology and to reveal the numerous and increasing cases of human rights violations by the United States and Britain, the Mehr News Agency reported.
Groups that are resisting the two countries’ oppression are also entitled to receive funding.
A working group comprised of officials from the Foreign Ministry, the Communications and Information Technology Ministry, the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee will decide how to spend the money under the supervision of the Intelligence Ministry.
The Intelligence Ministry will be in charge of the working group and will also be required to present a report to the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee every three months.
According to the legislation, the Foreign Ministry must prepare a report on human rights violations by the U.S. and Britain and present it every year on November 4, which is the anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran by Iranian students during the 1979 Islamic Revolution
