TEHRAN -- The latest film by British director Ken Loach “Looking for Eric” will go on screen at the 28th Fajr International Film Festival.

The film, which premiered at Cannes this year, tells the story of a postman called Eric who looks to his hero, former Manchester United footballer Eric Cantona, for inspiration.
He has been forced to cancel screenings of the film from this year's festivals following director Ken Loach's decision to withdraw the film from the program at Melbourne.
Ken Loach withdrew “Looking for Eric” from the Melbourne International Film Festival after the event’s organizers accepted financial support from the Zionist regime.
He also supports the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural boycott of the Zionist regime, which is supported by a broad spectrum of Palestinian civil society that includes writers, filmmakers, students, trade unions and human rights groups.
The Fajr International Film Festival will be held in Tehran from January 25 to February 4.
