Shahram Nazeri to give concerts in honor of Persian Gulf

TEHRAN -- Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri will give performances in the southern Iranian city of Bushehr on the occasion of Iran National Persian Gulf Day.
He will hold the performances at the Fajr Hall of the city on April 29 and 30; the latter date is concurrent with the Iran National Persian Gulf Day.
Iranian pop singer Benyamin to perform in U.S., Canada
TEHRAN -- Renowned Iranian pop singer Benyamin Bahadori will give concerts in the United States and Canada beginning May 1.
U.S.-based Iranian musicians will accompany Benyamin during the concerts, the director of Taraneh Sharqi Music Company Mohsen Rajabpur, which is the concerts’ sponsor, told ISNA.
Benyamin Bahadori is an Iranian pop singer and composer. His 2006 album “85” was a commercial success with Iranians. So far, Benyamin has produced 3 Studio Albums and is working on a new album.
Berlin competition honors Iranian cartoonist
TEHRAN -- Iranian cartoonist Mohammad Saleh Razm-Hosseini won award at the 1st International Cartoon Competition in Berlin.
A total of 180 cartoonists from 55 countries competed during the event which was on the theme of plagiarism.
Iran donates books to Chinese academic centers
TEHRAN -- The office of Iran’s cultural attaché in Beijing donated 700 Persian books to academic centers in China on the occasion of the Iranian New Year on March 21.
The books were on different themes including Persian and classic literature, history, art and culture.
Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Xinjiang University, Luoyang University and the National Library of China are among the institutes.
Iranian filmmakers to participate in Aljazeera festival
TEHRAN -- Members from the Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS) will attend the Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival to be held from April 19 to 22 in Doha.
The Iranian society will set up a large exhibit stand at the festival’s Production Exhibition in which well known TVs, media companies, production houses, and famous experts in the field of production will attend.
