Ankara festival displaying works by Iranian cartoonist

TEHRAN -- Work done by Iranian cartoonists Javad Alizadeh is on display at one of four galleries at the 16th International Ankara Cartoon Festival, which opened on April 16.

The other three galleries at the festival are dedicated to work done by Valeri Kurtu from Germany, Ege Yarim and Nezih Danyal from Turkey.
Motion pictures from Iran, Germany, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands are scheduled to be screened during the event that runs until April 19.
Exhibits displaying cartoons by children and caricatures about children have been organized for the event and several workshops will be held on the sidelines.
Children aged 7-17 will get the opportunity to draw cartoons with cartoonists during a workshop with the theme of “When I grow up, I will…”.
