TEHRAN – Iran’s domestically-manufactured Alvand destroyer went on display in Sri Lanka’s waters during a ceremony held to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Sri Lankan Navy on Sunday.

The display came as a delegation of senior Iranian military officials attended a ceremony. The Sri Lankan president and senior military commanders from over 26 countries participated in the event.
Iranian military commanders met with their Sri Lankan counterparts and discussed ways to improve security for ships and vessels sailing in the Indian Ocean and other regional waters
