Tehran, Baghdad to continue energy talks

TEHRAN – Iran and Iraq will hold new round of talks over their eight joint oilfield’s development plan in Tehran next week.

Tehran will also host the first meeting of the two countries’ joint executive working group, the Mehr News Agency reported.
Previously Deputy Oil Minister Alireza Zeighami had stated that Iran and Iraq had reached agreement on preparing comprehensive plans for five joint oilfields.
Iran possesses the world’s second largest gas reserves, which makeup almost 16 percent of the world’s total. The country is eager to expand its consumer base for energy resources.
