TEHRAN - Carlos Queiroz told Iranian football officials that he is interested in working with the national team as a consultant, according to Abbas Torabian.

“We kept in touch with Queiroz and he suggested working with Iran football team as a consultant. Nevertheless, we didn’t accept his offer,” director of foreign relations of the Iranian Football Federation said.
“We are optimistic that he will accept our offer and take charge of the team. But first, we have to assure him that he won’t have any problem in Iran,” he added.
Carlos Queiroz has already written to IFF that his decision will not change and he was forced to refuse the job due to private matters
