TEHRAN – Despite anti-Iran rhetoric by German media and politicians close to the Zionists, the foreign ministry spokesman of Germany clarified that the German-based Europaisch-Iranische Handelsbank (EIH Bank) would carry on with its commercial activities.

IRNA news agency Wednesday quoted German foreign ministry spokesman Andreas Peschke as saying that the EIH Bank in Hamburg will continue its work.
He reiterated that this bank is not blacklisted by the EU and Germany will not impose any restrictions on it. There is no proof of the bank violating the sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic, he said.
Prior to this other spokespersons of the German government, including the ministry of economy, had clarified that German monitoring bodies had spotted no legal reason to stop the activities of the bank.
The EIH Bank, which is registered in Hamburg, Germany is an Iranian bank with a European permit under the supervision of the German government.
Most of its shares are owned by Iran’s Industry and Mines Bank and a section of it is owned by Iranian Mellat and Tejarat banks.
In the past days German and U.S. outlets in the same camp with the Zionists had put pressure on the bank claiming it had violated the economic sanctions imposed on Iran
