TEHRAN -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the United States has been brought to its knees by the Islamic Revolution of Iran and emphasized the U.S. policies on the Middle East have failed.

The Leader made the remarks in Tehran on Tuesday at the graduation ceremony of the Imam Hossein (AS) Military Academy.
“The great Satan, since the early days of the revolution, has mobilized its military, financial, propaganda, and political empire to defeat the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation, but the political realities in Iran and the region show that the U.S. has been brought to its knees by the Islamic Revolution,” the Leader stated.
He also said that political analysts have admitted that the U.S. policies on the Middle East have failed, adding that 30 years ago the U.S. only lost one of its corrupt allies, namely the Iranian dictator Mohammad Reza Pahlavi’s regime, but today the U.S. is witnessing the collapse of its other subservient allies.
The failure of the U.S. policies on the Middle East and the promising revival of Islam in the region are the realization of the divine promises to the Iranian nation, he said.
He went on to say that the full realization of the divine promises requires the Iranian nation’s vigilance, resilience, and resolve.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader pointed to the Palestinians’ uprising on Nakba Day and said the Palestinian youth, after 60 years, took the unprecedented step of “breaking up” the Zionist regimes’ borders.
“This pleasant event heralds the realization of God’s promise that Islam and the Muslims will ultimately triumph,” he said.
On May 15, Palestinian demonstrators marched on Israel’s borders with Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza in a mass show of mourning over the anniversary of the 1948 occupation of Palestinian lands, known as Nakba Day (the Day of Catastrophe). But Israeli soldiers opened fire on Palestinian demonstrators in Lebanon, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights, killing a number of people and injuring hundreds more
