TEHRAN – Abbas Araqchi, a senior Iranian negotiator, said on Friday that process of drafting a comprehensive agreement is “very slow” due to the complexity and breadth of issues.

He also announced that the talks will be resumed in Vienna on Tuesday.

Araqchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the Iranian deputy foreign ministers, ended their latest round of nuclear talks, which was held at political and expert level, on Friday.

The 5+1 group was represented by EU political director Helga Schmidt.

The talks had started on Wednesday.

Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) have set July 1 as deadline to reach a comprehensive agreement.
