TEHRAN – Abbas Araqchi, a top Iranian nuclear negotiator, declined on Sunday accepting inspection of Iran’s military sites as part of a deal with the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany).

He highlighted the necessity of paying attention to “sensitivity” and “complexity” of the nuclear talks and avoiding publishing false news, IRNA reported.

“It is essential that all prioritize national interests,” he stated.

Araqchi also stated that the Iranian negotiators act based on the principles and redlines set by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs said that both he and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed opposition to any inspection of military sites or interview with the Iranian scientists in closed session of parliament on Sunday.
