TEHRAN - Iranian Ambassador to the IAEA Reza Najafi has said that Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency have reached an “common understanding” about time framework for continuing cooperation.

“The two sides reached a common understanding about continuing cooperation to solve issues related to past (nuclear) researches with considering Iran and agency’s points of view,” ISNA quoted him as saying on Friday.

He went on to say that Iran and the IAEA will hold a meeting to work on time frame and details of executive actions at expert level.

General Director of the IAEA Yukiya Amano met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, on Thursday.

In a statement issued on Friday, Amano said, “I believe that both sides have a better understanding on some ways forward, though more work will be needed.”
