TEHRAN – Iran has no military advisor in Yemen, a top Iranian diplomat says.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the deputy foreign minister for Middle Eastern affairs, said the activities of Iran’s embassy in Sana’a are “overt” and “official”, ISNA reported on Saturday.

Amir-Abdollahian’s remarks came after Saudi-owned Al Arabiya TV channel claimed that some Iranian military experts have been killed in Yemen.

Iran has been a fierce critic of Saudi-led air strikes on Yemen, calling it a big strategic mistake.
Amir-Abdollahian said the continued Saudi attacks on the innocent Yemeni people are instances of war crimes which have no justification.
