United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has announced that he plans to visit Tehran in the near future.

Ban made the announcement in a meeting with Iran’s parliament speaker on Monday on the sidelines of the Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament at the United Nations headquarters, where he hailed the conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers.
Ban further called for Iran’s more active role in the settlement of the regional and international conflicts.
