Nation to say goodbye to Hajj victims on Sunday

TEHRAN - Iranians will march in a procession to say goodbye to the bodies of 104 pilgrims killed during a stampede in Mecca on September 24.

The goodbye ceremony will be held at the University of Tehran main campus and the bodies will be sent from there to their hometowns.

So far 465 Iranians have been confirmed dead in the stampede. Reports say the total casualties could have surpassed 4,000.

Iran has said the remaining bodies will be transferred to the country by week’s end.
